Phoenix Beverages 2022 Integrated Report

REPORTING CONTEXT ABOUT US OUR OPERATING CONTEXT OUR PERFORMANCE OUR LEADERSHIP GOVERNANCE OUR FINANCIAL STATEMENTS SHAREHOLDERS' CORNER We communicate with those charged with governance regarding, among other matters, the planned scope and timing of the audit and significant audit findings, including any significant deficiencies in internal control that we identify during our audit. We also provide those charged with governance with a statement that we have complied with relevant ethical requirements regarding independence, and to communicate with them, all relationships and other matters that may reasonably be thought to bear on our independence, and where applicable, related safeguards. From the matters communicated with those charged with governance, we determine those matters that were of most significance in the audit of the consolidated and separate financial statements of the current period and are therefore the key audit matters. We describe those matters in our auditor’s report unless laws or regulation precludes public disclosure about the matter or when, in extremely rare circumstances, we determine that a matter should not be communicated in our report because the adverse consequences of doing so would reasonably be expected to outweigh the public interest benefits of such communication. Report on other legal and regulatory requirements Mauritius Companies Act 2001 In accordance with the requirements of the Mauritius Companies Act 2001, we report as follows: • we have no relationship with, or interest in, the Company and its subsidiaries other than in our capacities as auditor and tax advisor; • we have obtained all information and explanations that we have required; and • in our opinion, proper accounting records have been kept by the Company as far as appears from our examination of those records. Financial Reporting Act 2004 Corporate governance report Our responsibility under Financial Reporting Act 2004 is to report on the compliance with the Code of Corporate Governance disclosed in the annual report and assess the explanations given for non-compliance with any requirement of the Code.
